Intervención artística de Biancoshock en Civitacampomarano sobre la comunicación tradicional

The WEB 0.0 project by Biancoshock in Civitacampomarano challenges our dependence on social media, highlighting the contrast between digital hyperconnectivity and traditional communication.

Once upon a time, there was a man glued to his mobile phone... who was more worried about what was happening on WhatsApp, Facebook, or Twitter than what was going on around him.

That is how we are. Today, we are in constant connection with others through social media. But do we really think it is the best way to communicate with others? Watch out! We are not going to bite the hand that feeds us. Online communication has brought numerous advantages and advances. However, the problem is that today's society has developed a kind of need for the 2.0 world.

Based on this reality, the folks at Biancoshock have created a project titled WEB 0.0 that invites you to reflect on this phenomenon.

Let's set the scene. Civitacampomarano is a small Italian town in the province of Campobasso where only 400 people live, most of whom are elderly.

online communication
Here, the Internet is a parallel reality where data connection is practically non-existent. Thus, the project is based on showing in a witty way that the tools offered by social media have always existed in popular traditions and customs, but in an obviously different way; and that they are not essential for living.

We hope you like it and that it makes you reflect.
