Lexus has created the first fully functional car made entirely of cardboard, inspired by the Lexus IS and the Japanese art of origami, honoring the craftsmanship of its workers.

It seems totally incredible, but it's true! The car company Lexus has created the first car made from cardboard sheets.

The most curious thing about all this is that this new design is based on the Japanese art of origami. This is part of the premium Toyota company's tradition and is included as part of employee training, as they claim it perfects dexterity within the production line. And this new model, inspired by the Lexus IS, is a clear tribute to Lexus workers.

The cardboard car in question has been manufactured using 1,700 sheets of cardboard. And it really works. It is powered by an electric motor, has steering, headlights, and the doors open.
