Meta launches Llama 3

Mark Zuckerberg’s company has announced its new version of artificial intelligence, Llama 3, which integrates significant improvements and will be incorporated into platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. This language model has expanded its training dataset, making it more robust and versatile, with enhanced capabilities for understanding and generating text in multiple languages. Llama 3 offers 8 billion and 70 billion parameter models, outperforming previous models in various tests. Additionally, there will be an even more powerful 400-billion-parameter version.

Meta plans to make this technology accessible via a web version and through conversational bots integrated into its apps and cloud platforms. Although it is initially being rolled out in English in several countries, there is no confirmed date for its launch in Spain yet.

Adobe integrates AI into video editing with Premiere

Adobe Premiere Pro will integrate OpenAI's Sora AI, allowing users to add and remove objects in videos, extend video duration, and generate video content from text. This integration aims to simplify video editing for both professionals and novices.

Adobe is introducing generative artificial intelligence in Premiere Pro, which will allow for advanced functions such as removing and adding objects in videos or extending clips by adding frames. Furthermore, Adobe will integrate OpenAI's Sora AI, allowing for the automatic creation of B-Roll content from a prompt.

These features are expected to be available by the end of the year.

USA approves a bill to ban TikTok in its territory

The United States Congress has approved a measure that requires ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, to divest from the platform within nine months. This decision comes after concerns arose in the North American country regarding the possibility of the Chinese government accessing U.S. user data. Therefore, this legislative move, supported by President Joe Biden, brings TikTok closer to a potential ban in the U.S.
