Bard, Google's Artificial Intelligence

Bard, Google's AI, is now available in Spanish

Following the success of ChatGPT, Google couldn't stay behind and got to work on developing its own Artificial Intelligence ChatBot, Bard.

Although Bard was launched in February, as of July 13th it can now be used in Spain (and in Spanish). Its main advantage over ChatGPT is that, of course, it draws directly from Google and offers up-to-date information. Additionally, you can speak directly to the ChatBot without typing, and it aims to become the perfect complement to the traditional Google Search engine.

Code Interpreter is a feature available to users subscribed to ChatGPT Plus

OpenAI incorporates the Code Interpreter plugin

Moving on to another of this week's highlights: OpenAI has announced the incorporation of the Code Interpreter function to ChatGPT Plus, a tool that will provide advanced features related to data science.

Thanks to this tool, users will be able to:

  • Analyze data. Users will be able to upload documents and enter prompts for the system to debug information.
  • Create charts. The system will be able to extract data (even raw data) and produce structured charts as results, such as maps, interactive HTML files, or graphs.
  • Edit files. The system will be able to convert images into text, extract color palettes from an image, perform mathematical operations (both quantitative and qualitative), or turn a GIF into a longer video.

At Nömad, we've already been able to verify the WOW effect of Code Interpreter. We asked it to transform a static image into a video… and this is the result.

The Artificial Intelligence race

If one thing is clear, it's that, in the Artificial Intelligence race, no one wants to be left behind. Although OpenAI is still in the lead, we've seen that with each passing day, Google is closing the gap. Meta is also working to compete in this market. Without going any further, Zuckerberg's company has announced its intention to launch its own AI model and reduce OpenAI's dominance.

Of course, entrepreneur Elon Musk also doesn't want to be left behind and has already introduced xAIhis own Artificial Intelligence company which, in his opinion, will "help understand the universe".
