The LIX 3D printing pen functions similarly to 3D printers. It melts and cools colored plastic, allowing you to create rigid, free-standing structures. Lix has a nozzle at the hot end that is powered by a wall charger. The ABS/PLA plastic filament is fed into the top end of the Lix Pen. The filament passes through a mechanism as it moves through the pen to finally reach the hot-end nozzle, which melts and cools it. An interesting fact about this lightweight, engineering-grade pen is that these structures can be formed into any shape imaginable.
