Threads arrives, Meta's alternative to Twitter

For weeks, there had been rumors that Meta was preparing the launch of a new platform where users could make text posts similar to Twitter. Indeed, this week all doubts were cleared and Meta finally launched Threads, its new platform that will be directly linked to Instagram.

The most notable thing is that Threads has the same dynamic as Twitter: users share their thoughts with a character limit, with the possibility of adding an image or video. These are its main features:

  • It will have its own app, although each profile will be linked to an Instagram account.
  • The thread format will be the protagonist. Every time we start a post, we will have the next one available to continue the thread.
  • Up to 500 characters. This is one of the main differences from Twitter, which only allows paid accounts to post more than 280 characters.
  • GIFs or Stickers cannot be inserted, although this feature may be available in future updates.
  • Interactions. You can like, reply, quote, or retweet... ahem, repost, and share posts to Instagram stories.

At Nömad, we tried to put this new platform to the test... but for now, we'll have to wait. The launch of Threads is delayed in EU member countries until Meta resolves the privacy issues raised by this app.

Google now allows testing of its new Artificial Intelligence tool

MusicLM, Google's AI that transforms text into music

Google announced at the beginning of the year the creation of MusicLM, a new tool that uses artificial intelligence to generate music clips from a text description. And although it did not initially intend to offer it to the public, it has finally changed its mind, and users now have the possibility to test it.

With MusicLM, users can indicate instruments or musical genres in a prompt and let the artificial intelligence generate a melody. The system produces two versions of songs, allowing the user to select their favorite, a process that in turn helps train the AI.

Google suggests that users be descriptive in their requests, including the musical style and the emotion they wish to convey.

5 keys to start boosting your brand

If you have followed us on social media, you will know that last Friday we attended DSMValencia, a marketing event where we learned about the latest trends in the sector and the strategies that make big brands successful.

During the day, we were able to draw many conclusions, although we have selected those we consider key for businesses:

◼️ChatGPT is already an essential tool for brands and professionals. Its ability to produce relevant content offers endless opportunities for businesses.

◼️The importance of communicating well with AI. Prompts can help us generate strategic content, but we can go a step further to make the most of ChatGPT. This is achieved with multi-prompts, which will allow you to create more strategic, personalized, and precise content.

◼️Business process automation is fundamental to saving time and improving efficiency in companies. In fact, at Nömad, thanks to these tools, we have improved team productivity by 37%.

➤We tell you all about it here.

◼️Create Content with a Hook. In a sea of content, knowing how to capture the user's attention is essential so they stick with your brand and stop scrolling. How to hook them? Without a doubt, the star format is short video, although the use of creative copy and good storytelling will boost your brand's value.

◼️Build community around the brand. Today more than ever, brands should not just look for customers, but cultivate communities. Communities of people who believe in your product, your brand, and your vision. The most memorable brands are those that build lasting relationships with their customers. And if not, just ask Apple.

The Jumpers Dystopia

Jumpers Dystopia

What if the legendary Jumpers snack had actually been shaped like a real frog? That is precisely the main theme of Dystopia, the new campaign launched by the well-known brand to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

Through a fictional narrative, the brand imagines what its trajectory would have been like if its star-shaped snacks had had the shape they aspired to: a frog.
