Facebook and Instagram will again offer stories and reels in chronological order
Facebook and Instagram will have to display this type of content in chronological order to comply with European regulations.
Until now, both networks positioned their reels and stories according to Meta's recommendation algorithm. However, the European Union requires them to comply with the European Digital Services Act.
Beyond this update, Meta has implemented the following changes on Instagram and Facebook in Europe:
◼️ Transparency in Advertising: Meta has launched an expanded ad library to provide more transparency in the advertising shown on its platforms.
◼️ Recommendation Algorithms: The company will also provide more details to users on how their recommendation algorithms work.
◼️ Protection for Adolescents: New limits have been introduced on how advertisers can target adolescents.
◼️ Reporting Illegal Content: Meta is working on facilitating the process of reporting illegal content and providing more information to users in Europe regarding moderation decisions.

Meta launches its new AI capable of transcribing and translating up to 100 languages
It is called SeamlessM4T, an AI that can recognize, transcribe, and translate up to 100 languages. This multimodal model will allow:
◼️ Text-to-text translation
◼️ Audio-to-text translation
◼️ Audio-to-audio translation
◼️ Audio-to-text transcription in the same language
◼️ Audio synthesis in the same language
To develop this AI, Meta created a dataset called SeamlessAlign with billions of sentences and 4 million hours of voice recordings from the web. Although SeamlessM4T can recognize up to 100 languages, for some tasks, such as text-to-speech and speech-to-speech translations, it provides results in up to 36 languages.

Threads launches its web version
Meta has introduced the web version of Threads, a feature that has been highly requested by users from the beginning and which will include all the app's features.
